Traditional Japanese Inn
Hakone, Japan
May 14th & 15th, 2001
|
We stayed at a traditional
Japanese style inn with a hot spring bath in Hakone National
Park. This is the view from our room. We walked out from
our rooms wearing wooden "geta" on our feet
to walk around the garden. |
|
This is one of two adjoining
rooms at the inn. After soaking in the hot spring bath, we wear
"yukata" or cotton kimono. Breakfast and dinner
are brought to our rooms and we sit on the floor and eat at
low tables. |
|
Kayli with her Grandma and
Grandpa Kimura (from Syracuse, NY). Japanese meals use many
small dishes. |
|
After we finish eating,
someone comes to our room to clear all the dishes, move the
tables out and lay out our beds. |
